The 2007 Aerope Grenache was aged in seasoned American oak for 9 months. Medium ruby-colored, it displays a restrained bouquet of damp earth, underbrush, smoky cherries, and baking spices. Ripe, velvety, and succulent, it is in need of greater complexity. Perhaps another 2-3 years of bottle aging will fill it out.
