Vibrant, fresh and fruity, the 2014 Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva is an extremely well-priced red to pair with Sardinian gnocchi (malloreddus) topped with sausage tomato and saffron. In truth, any other basic Italian pasta recipe will do just fine next to a wine of this wide versatility and easy appeal. The bouquet possesses a dark core of cherry and red currant. There is light spice and bramble at the back. A whopping 700,000 bottles are produced, so it should be easy to locate this wine.
