The Can Blau winery in Montsant is one of the seven wineries belonging to the Orowines Group. Through those seven branches spread over all of the great wine regions in Spain, the Orowines Group is able to explore and present to the public the amazing richness of the Spanish terroir.
Can Blau, run by the distinguished Gil family, one of Spain's great wine dynasties, is located in Montsant, a wine region right next to world-famous Priorat that, slowly but steadily, is realizing its potential to produce first class wines. In a way, the Montsant region is doomed to success, because it has an amazing array of soils of different kinds, a variety of both local and international varieties, and a great climate for growing grapes.
All of the wines crafted by the Celler Can Blau winery are aged red wines. The wines are aged in oak barrels and crafted from Carignan, Grenache, and/or Syrah.
Mas de Can Blau is the flagship wine of the winery. A wine with a long ageing process that provides an excellent balance between fruit, terroir, and oak. This is a bold, ambitious wine.
